Directions: There are three parts to this research project(must be completed in this order):
1. Complete the Blackbeard web quest, and print off your online answer sheet.
2. Make your own fictional pirate story(1-2 pages typed, double spaced)
- Your story just include the following components:
a. Name of your pirate
b. Why are they a pirate/how did you become one?
c. Who is their pirate hero, and why?
d. What booty did they plunder?
e. Where do they keep their treasure?
f. Description of their hideout
g. Name of their ship
h. What their flag represents
3. Pirate flag - you will design a pirate flag, based on the description from your fictional story (This will be hand drawn).
Grading (55 points)
- Webquest(5)
- Story incorperates all required asoects (35)
- Length of story - 1-2 pages(5)

Deadlines
- Thursday: webquest must be completed, and printed out
- Thursday homework: create a rough draft or detailed ouline for your story.
- Friday: Finish story and type out in class.
- Friday Homework: Complete your pirate flag.
- Monday: Pirate Flag is due.
